CPA Firm Brown & Brown, LLP Selects Spade Technology to Build "Cutting Edge" Website and Computer Network

Spade Technology, Inc., a regional information technology service provider, has completed a major Web site and computer network upgrade project for Brown & Brown, LLP, one of New England’s leading full-service certified public accounting firms.
The initial phase of the project involved updating the Brown & Brown Web site to make it more “cutting edge” in look, feel, and content. Spade performed all site development and deployment work, including migration to a new Internet Service Provider. Subsequently, Brown & Brown retained Spade to do a top-to-bottom study of the firm’s entire computer networking system to identify areas that needed upgrading, replacement, or installation of new systems. According to Spade Technology CEO, Myles Keough, “Once Brown & Brown gave us the go ahead, we made all the major enhancements in approximately two months, and, since then, have continued providing a combination of on-site and remote support for the Web site and network.”
As a result of Spade Technology’s efforts, Brown & Brown has seen some significant benefits. According to David Burger, the Partner who oversees the firm’s tax and IT departments, “All the network infrastructure and system improvements have put us well ahead of the curve compared to most other accounting firms. Everything works better and faster. Downtime is practically non-existent. In addition, we are now well positioned to move to a state-of-the-art paperless audit system and also to set up a wireless office to further enhance the efficiency of our staff.
