Job Description

OVERVIEW 
The Kaseya Engineer is responsible for complete management and oversight of a Kaseya installation currently supporting 1000's of endpoints. This includes patching, anti-virus, backup and writing scripts. The Kaseya Engineer will also be responsible for providing 3rd tier support to customers and organizations by effectively trouble-shooting, diagnosing and resolving users systems issues. The successful candidate must be a self-starter and be able to work both autonomously and within a group.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform detailed client site surveys and provide documentation of existing environment.
• Participate in pre-sales activities and solution development (assist with analyzing client needs/technical requirements, recommending design/solution options, assist in the preparation of presentations, proposals, and defining scope of work).
• Troubleshooting and resolving problems/issues that arise
• Provide 3rd level operation support for all client systems.
• Acts as third point of escalation for level I and II support personnel
• Daily responsibilities include, but not limited to: system monitoring, alerting, problem logging, and coordinating tasks effectively to troubleshoot issues for prompt resolution.
• Follow documented network operations center (NOC) standards and procedures.
• Perform installation, setup and upgrades of existing and new hardware as well maintenance of infrastructure equipment as necessary.
• Ability to quickly understand the architecture and design of complex technology solutions.
• Staying abreast of current technologies through all available resources including Internet, trade publications, and/or user groups/associations.
• Mentoring of junior engineers/technicians as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
• A minimum of one year of experience managing Kaseya including writing scripts, developing deployment strategies, and maintaining 1000+ end points.
• 7+ years experience delivering technical solutions and/or support to external clients
• MCSE Windows 2003 certified with extensive experience with Microsoft products: Windows Vista, Windows 2003/2008 server, Exchange 2000/2003/2007, MS Outlook, IIS, SQL Server, and strong Networking experience working with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP and WINS
• Cisco certification highly desired and experience with Routing (T1/T3, EIGRP, BGP, Frame Relay), Cisco ASA, and switching (L2, L3, Spanning-Tree, Port Channels)
• Solid understanding of Active Directory, DNS, group policies, Global Catalogs, Directory Replication and security for design and deployment in heterogeneous and homogenous environments.
• Sound understanding of technical concepts across a range of technologies including Desktop software, Internet Browser software, Microsoft BackOffice applications, LAN, WAN and communication networks.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot Microsoft networking and server issues and Cisco networking issues using appropriate monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft and Cisco’s Best Practices Policies.
• Knowledge of Internet and networking technologies such as but not limited to TCP/IP, WINS, and DNS
• Ability to be proactive and work professionally in a pressured, diverse and growing environment
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Customer-oriented and maintains an ethical and professional relationship with clients
• Strong organizational skills, superior attention to detail and quality awareness, and professional demeanor
